What is Hasu eCounselling?
Hasu is a Japanese word for lotus flower and revered in Japan for its ability to rise from dirty, murky waters to bloom into a beautiful flower. Like the lotus flower, we can rise above human suffering in the same way, break free and bloom.
Hasu eCounselling™ is a PHIPA and PIPEDA-compliant healthcare platform that provides secure online video, talk and text counselling for individuals and their families struggling with mental health issues, substance abuse and problem gambling. Founded and designed by therapists, Hasu aims to bridge the gap in long wait times and post-treatment support. Hasu also provides support to the family members who are affected by the individual's substance use and mental health issues.
Counselling available in English, Mandarin, Spanish and Farsi.
All Hasu eCounselling™ providers are experienced and certified Canadian healthcare professionals registered with their provincial regulatory body. Providers on the Hasu Provider Network are registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW); the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) or the Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation (CACCF). Click here for information about the Hasu Provider Network.
Hasu eCounselling™ addiction specialists can provide an assessment for referral to addiction treatment centres in Ontario and support the client in choosing the right treatment centre for them. Referrals can be made to short-term programs (28 - 35 days), long-term programs (3 to 6 months) or day programs in Ontario.
Don't pay out-of-pocket. If you have a health benefits plan with one of these insurance companies, we can provide electronic billing. Hasu eCounselling accepts insurance plans from these insurance companies and the list is growing!
